Leonard Fournette Jacksonville Jaguars #27
Drafted form LSU by the Jaguars with the fourth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Leonard Fournette’s speed has proven to be the key to Jacksonville’s unexpected success this season. The team secured their first playoff trip since 2007 with their win over the Houston Texans. They then defeated the Buffalo Bills 3-10 marking the first playoff win in ten years and on January 14, 2018, the Jaguars defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 45-42 to advance to their 3rd AFC Championship Game, and their first since 1999.
The second rookie in franchise history to rush for 1,000 yards (1,040 yards and 9 TDs) in a season.
Facing the Super Bowl LI defending champions, the New England Patriots, along with their All-Star QB Tom Brady, was the last hurdle they had to jump to be able to play in Super Bowl LII at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN on February 4th. The stakes were high; Fournette’s 1 touchdown and 76 yards were not enough to lead his team to victory over the NFL Playoffs favorites. But keep a close eye on this one—he’s just getting started!
