On a beautiful South Florida evening we dove into our culinary treat with sensational starters of delicious Grilled Octopus & Chorizo with fennel, tomatoes, fingerlings, olives and black garlic vinaigrette. The Steamed Mussels in a saffron bouilla broth with fennel tomato and plenty of grilled ciabatta for dunking was wonderful as was the Crab Cake on baby arugula with heirloom tomatoes and a grainy mustard aioli. Smoked Short Rib Tater Skins, topped with aged white cheddar, scallions, sour cream and truffles melted in our mouths and the Lollipop Chicken Wings in Korean BBQ with scallions, sesame, and chilies was finger lickin’ good.
The Oceans Seafood Tower, always a treat, includes jumbo shrimp, raw clams, raw oysters, lobster tail, served with citrus mignonette and cocktail sauces. The Vietnamese Summer Roll, filled with poached shrimp, baby organic greens, cucumber, scallions, crisp onion, is perfectly wrapped in rice paper while the Spicy Rainbow Roll combines spicy tuna, avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, cucumber, topped with tuna, salmon and wahoo drizzled with cilantro aioli. Fresh Tuna Poke with cucumber, mango, macadamia and served with crispy plantain is sensational.
Salads, perfect as an entrée or large enough to share offer wonderful selections of the Kale Caesar with garbanzo beans, baby heirloom tomatoes, chipotle pepitas and shaved parmesan or the Organic Greens and Poached Pear with candied walnuts, radish, red onion, goat cheese in a balsamic vinaigrette. Make sure to try the outstanding Beets and Blue with roasted beets, blue brie, spicy pecans, balsamic onions and arugula.
If you’re a landlubber, the Churrasco Skirt Steal, served with crisp yucca, roasted corn, pickled onion and chimichurri and the Center Cut Filet Mignon with Yukon mash, haricot vert, mushroom ragout, crisp onion and demi glace were tender and cooked to perfection. The rich and creamy Lobster Mac N Cheese, served with a half-pound lobster tail, rigatoni in a mascarpone cheese sauce was irresistible. Divers Scallops, served with butternut puree, curried cauliflower and Moroccan tapenade was a party in our mouths along with the Snapper Veracruz with fingerling potatoes, cilantro and sweet pepper sofrito. Seafood Linguini filled with jumbo shrimp, bay scallops, PEI mussels, nduja, zucchini in a spicy arabbiata sauce was superb. Always a favorite is the Scottish Salmon, served with quinoa, edamame, Brussels sprouts and carrot coulis. Chicken Milanese is delightful and served with baby arugula, mozzarella, tomatoes and aged Parmesan.
Along with our cappuccino, we indulged in the decadent Chocolate Trilogy, layering oreos baked between chocolate cookie dough and fudge brownie, served with blackberry cabernet sorbet and chocolate ganache. The tart and creamy Key Line Pie in a crisp macadamia crust with meringue bruleé and blueberry lime compote was luscious along with the Salted Carmel Cheesecake with a carmel glass crisp and fresh berries. Cappuccino Crème Brulée, served with flesh berries, is perfect on the lighter side or the divine sorbets and ice cream in enticing flavors of mango, blackberry cabernet, vanilla and chocolate.
