As realtors, we have adapted as necessary to rise to the challenge of continuing to provide exceptional real estate service to buyers and sellers while balancing the crucial need to do so in such a manner that best protects the health and safety of all concerned. Thanks to technology, as an industry we are well-equipped to conduct business with our colleagues, clients, and team partners, whether virtually, remotely, or when necessary in person, under strict CDC (Centers for Disease Control) guidelines.

Even as the country reopens, health precautions must remain in place for the foreseeable future. For sellers who prefer to conduct business at a distance while under the Stay-at-Home ordinance, or even as restrictions are lifted, we offer virtual listing appointments and virtual staging consultations through applications such as FaceTime, WhatsApp, or Messenger. Our photographers and other real estate partners, such as lenders, title companies, inspectors, appraisers, and contractors have also implemented enhanced safety measures per guidelines of the CDC, WHO (World Health Organization), and other local and federal health officials.

At the same time, our exclusive marketing program enables us to reach potential buyers quickly when a new property hits the market, ranging from a property tour video and dedicated property website to online advertising, customized email distribution, social media posts, mailed property announcements, and a digital notification to our colleagues. Any in-person showings that must be conducted for or with buyers are done with the utmost vigilance, with use of social distancing and masks, a choice of gloves and booties, along with other necessary precautions to minimize risk while still maximizing the showing experience. We also offer virtual showings using video and apps to keep both sellers and buyers safe while still showcasing a home’s unique features. The use of 3D videos to showcase our listings have been an excellent method of virtual marketing during lockdown, often resulting in buyers purchasing “sight unseen”, and we see that trend continuing in the coming months. Live-streaming an open house on social media, versus hosting a physical open house has gained popularity during the shutdown. We will continue to offer our sellers the choice of either.
