COMMUNITY FUN TO RAISE CONTRIBUTIONS

OVER THE PAST 20 YEARS, THE ROTARY RUN FOR TOMORROW FOR CHARITY EVENT HAS RAISED WELL OVER $ 1 M ILLION IN PROCEEDS FOR CHARITIES SERVING LOCAL NEEDS.

The Rotary Club of Weston and City of Weston community came together on Dec. 5 for the 24th Annual Rotary Run for Tomorrow and Health & Fitness Festival. More than 1,600 adults and 700 children participated in the event, raising funds for those in need in Broward County and worldwide. The City of Weston and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (the event’s title sponsor) presented the event.

 

 

The event included a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and the Commission Cup 1 Mile Walk. For the Commission Cup 1 Mile Walk, elementary school students throughout Weston and their families were invited to join a one-mile family health walk to help their school win the 2021 Commission Cup Trophy and cash prizes. The winner of this year’s prestigious Commission Cup was Manatee Bay Elementary School. Manatee Bay Elementary School, along with Indian Trace Elementary School, Imagine Weston and Sagemont, will receive a $1,000 cash prize. Eagle Point Elementary School, Gator Run Elementary School and Country Isles Elementary School will each receive a $500 cash prize.
