HERE ARE A FEW WAYS TO DECLUTTER NEGATIVE EMOTIONS, WHICH CAN BECOME YOUR PATHWAY TO INNER PEACE.
Yes, you read correctly. Inner peace is just a few steps away and with the popularity of Marie Kondo’s “Tidying Up” show, the importance of decluttering has become the new fashion. Decluttering your mind will achieve a lasting result that will permeate into all the other areas of your life.
This seemingly unattainable goal, inner peace, can be achieved with these consistent steps, which albeit not easy, will be so worth it. Let’s first find out if this exercise is what you need.
Are you feeling uncertain, stuck, anxious or are you constantly critiquing yourself or others? If you answered yes to any of these, it means that you are currently experiencing symptoms of a loaded emotional space and it is probably time to take the following steps:
FIRST: Identify the concurrent feelings that come up throughout your days. Go ahead and start writing as many as you can; make a list (naming them won’t be easy but will help to acknowledge them and figure out where they come from). Now choose the five that repeat the most.
SECOND: Divide the feelings into three columns: risen from past events, future events, or happening in the now. Considering that the past can’t be changed and the future can only be altered by the actions you take in the present, we will only focus on the “now” column.
THIRD: So ask yourself, “Is there anything I can do about it now?” If you can, then there will be an action step for each of those feelings that you can choose to start changing in the now. Try to come up with a maximum of 3 action steps per feeling to give you some choices when altering your current behaviors to attain your dream goals.
The naming of the feelings, the acknowledgment of their placement on your priority list, and the action steps for the ones you can change will help you feel lighter and free, which in turn will create inner peace. It is work and it needs to be done often until your awareness levels rise up, but I do promise it will be the investment that will reap the most positive results. All of these processes can be hard, and you might get stuck, which is normal and expected, but don’t give up! Now, go be light and happy with your new-found inner peace.
