A Neighborhood Bistro

On the heels of their extremely successful locations in New York, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, St. Barths and St. Tropez, owners Aymeric Clemente and Remi Laba are thrilled with the much-anticipated opening of Bagatelle Miami Beach. Housed in Villa Bagatelle Hotel, its poised to continue its reputation as the most exciting and liveliest culinary destination. Bagatelle will represent a home away from home for visiting internationals and Miami’s melting pot of residents alike that are already familiar with the famed brand.BEET SALAD GOAT CHEESE

Designed by Celano Design, Bagatelle is a collection of wondrous sounds and sights and it will keep to the recognizable design of its sister locations of beige and white furnishings accented with decorative moldings, plush banquets, numerous crystal chandeliers, bright fresh flowers and eye catching pop art provided by Opera Gallery, their global art curator. The beautiful stone top bar featured a display of the finest selection of worldly wines and Champagne as we relaxed and enjoyed the art and blended music of multiple genres throughout the dining room.

Serving mainly modern French cuisine, Bagatelle is run by Executive Chef Matthieu Godard. His delectable signature dishes, which began arriving at our table, included fresh Tartare de Thon Bagatelle, Yellowfin Tuna Tartar, avocado salad in lime soy vinaigrette, Tender Gnocchi Truffés á la Parisienne, Homemade Gnocchi, Black Truffle Sauce and Aged Parmesan Cheese melted in our mouths while Pizza á la Truffe Noire, flatbread, crème fraíche, truffle oil and smoke Scamorza was heavenly. Tatin de Tomate, tomato and caramelized onion tarte tatin with organic goat cheese, Nicoise olives, pine nuts and basil oil was warm and savory and the Poulpe Gallega of grilled octopus, olive oil potato confit, Picholine olives, smoked paprika, Marcona almonds and spicy piquillo coulis was tender and delicious. For a special treat, the Sliders Rossini layers sirloin sliders, Hudson sautéed foie gras, red onion compote, toasted brioche, aged cheddar cheese and black truffle mayonnaise burst with flavor.IMG_1142

Their signature dish of delectable Poulet Róti Entier á la Truffe, a whole truffled roasted chicken, country style potatoes, caramelized cipolini onions, button mushrooms, thyme chicken was superb. The Cháteaubriand for two is the perfect cut of USDA choice center beef tenderloin with Béarnaise and peppercorn sauce. Don’t miss the delicate St. Jacques Róties du Maine, Maine diver scallops, Carnaroli lemon risotto, jamon Iberico and creamy fennel pesto as well as the Carré d’Agneau Grille, grilled rack of lamb, chick pea hummus, sweet pepper piperade, tzatziki and homemade harissa. Snapper de Florida en Papillote features Cedar wrapped Florida red snapper filet, laughing bird shrimp, avocado mousse and tropical sauce vierge…amazing!SCALLOPS CRISPY LEMON RISOTTO_r1As we relaxed, our sweet ending of Les Desserts included rich and creamy Bagatelle Cheesecake Napoleon layering crispy phyllo, organic goat cheese, poached peaches, sweet pesto and Riesling sorbet, along with the irresistible Pineapple Financier, rosemary dacquoise, braised port pineapple and coconut sage cremeux and the decadent Hazelnut Chocolate Crisp with chocolate ganache, hazelnut sponge cake and olio verde ice cream.
