With first class service and phenomenal food, db Bistro offers more than you can imagine._MG_0161We began our French gourmet adventure with a bountiful Seafood Plateau displayed magnificently which included oysters, clams, shrimp, mussels, crab, ceviche, house smoked salmon, King Crab and lobster along with a variety of sauces. The Assiette Lyonnaise, an assortment of house-made charcuterie offered something for everyone while the warm Alsatian Tarte Flambée layered fromage blanc, onions, bacon and mushrooms. Florida Key Shrimp Al Ajillo is a perfect blend of Rock Shrimp, lemon and garlic. The Lobster salad created with tossed mesculun greens with avocado, hearts of palm, haricot verts, green beans, and watermelon, was a meal in itself. Every plate is a work of art and the Yellowtail Crudo with smoked avocado, oroblanco and caviar was a party in our mouths. Don’t miss the classical Guinea Hen Terrine, served with violet mustard, spring greens, and foie gras as well as the the Escargots Persillade with wild Burgundy snails, almond, parsley, and potato croquettes was simply irresistible.20120618_FLA_BR_106

The Gulf Coast Black Grouper “Paupiette,” served with leek fondue, pomme purée and sauce Meurette was delectable as was the Dover Sole A La Francaise, which was made with English peas, romaine and lardons. Steak Frites accompanied a perfectly grilled rib eye steak, creamed spinach and pommes pont-neuf while the Veal Blanquette with fingerling potato, spring onion and hen of the woods mushrooms was savory. The Coq Au Vin, wine braised chicken, mushrooms, bacon and spatzle was flavorful. The piece de resistance…the the Original db Burger combining ground sirloin filled with braised short ribs, foie gras and black truffle, on a Parmesan Bun was phenomenal._MG_0297

 

For a sweet ending we devoured the decadent Crunchy Chocolate Bar layered with caramel/praline glaze, brownie, candied hazelnuts and toasted marshmallow ice cream An order of warm Madeleines, irresistible mini sponge cakes, is enough to share as well as the assortment of delectable Bonbons and Macaroons. Chocolate lovers don’t miss the rich Bourbon Chocolate Fondant with caramel sauce, chocolate tuile and coffee ice cream. Crispy Apple Confit, served with grape coulis, Calvados poached apple, pecans and brown butter/smoked cinnamon ice cream was simply perfect.
