III Forks Steakhouse Hallandale offers a warm and inviting sophisticated dining experience, like no other. The luxurious surroundings are uncomplicated and understated, a contemporary evolution of the classical elegant steakhouse. lll Forks is a contemporary take on the classic upscale steakhouse located in The Villages of Gulfstream Park. On our way to one of the five (5) dining rooms, each with its own distinct personality, we were mesmerized as we passed through the tunnel of a glass walled wine cellar, housing over 1,500 bottles of the finest wines.
All of the dining rooms have been finely appointed décor reflecting a rich heritage design. Slide into one of the semi-private booths surrounded by rich woods in the Palm Room, get nostalgic in the Legends Room adorned with sports memorabilia, or dine under the warm light from the spacious vaulted ceiling in The Hall. Every room has something unique to offer that is the true spirit of Hallandale.
While many steak houses offer fish, few provide an equal and mouth-watering balance between perfectly prepared fish and beef like III Forks. We eagerly began our culinary adventure as a wonderful selection of appetizers arrived. The seafood medley offered shrimp cocktail with two (2) different sauces, luscious crab cake with Creole beurre blanc and seared scallop with house made bacon jam while the PEI mussels and chorizo with a sherry brodo, charred shallots offered plenty of grilled brioche for dunking the delicious broth.
The chilled lll Forks salad, a house specialty, is filled with baby greens, granny smith apples, blue cheese, and pecans all dressed perfectly in maple vinaigrette. The classic wedge is topped with bacon, thick slices of tomato and a luscious blue cheese dressing while the tomato and Di Stefano burrata salad was creamy and delicious. Lobster bisque, rich and creamy is a perfect beginning to any meal.
Offering only the finest USDA Prime beef III Forks is one of the few exclusively Prime steakhouses in America. Filet Mignon, tender and juicy is served in cuts of 6, 8, or 12 ounces while the Tomahawk rib eye is perfectly grilled and the veal chop are all cooked to perfection. For fish lovers, don’t miss the delicate buttery Chilean sea bass or fresh Atlantic salmon with tarragon chimichuri. Side dishes, large enough to share, include sautéed spinach, fresh asparagus, roasted mushrooms, off-the –cob cream corn, fried brussel sprouts with lemon aioli, and irresistible six cheese potatoes. Add a topping of a blue cheese and garlic crown, not to be missed, on top of any beef selection or the decadent King’s Butter with black truffles, garlic, honey and foie gras or the Oscar Style with jumbo lump crab, asparagus and hollandaise.
Along with our cappuccino, we devoured our sweet ending, not needed but always necessary, of warm and delicious bread pudding crowned with pecans, caramel sauce and cinnamon ice cream. The chocolate ganache cake, a chocolate lovers dream, melted in our mouths, while the luscious layered Texas pecan cake was simply amazing. Decadent coconut cream meringue cake and the creamy lime leaf pie were light and refreshing.
