Discover Myn-Tu, an intimate resto-lounge located in Miami Beach where it once housed the former Rockbar space. Myn-Tu’s interior boasts a 2,500 square-foot space and as we walked inside and passed by the sleek-looking bar, my guest and I into an 80-seat dining room decorated with white elegant leather booths. The dining room is filled with mirrors on the wall and the ceiling, along with a colorful LED backlighting throughout, which has been designed by Gianni Ranaulo. Once we were seated, it was time for a couple of crafty cocktails, including Everything Is Better With Bubbles—made with Grey Goose Vodka, strawberry purée, simple syrup, and lime juice, topped with Champagne. Myn-Tu offers an elegant blend of Japanese and Vietnamese culture, with some French flair!

After looking through their menu, we ordered their very popular Asian Taco as a starter, which was carefully made with our choice of lobster, yuzu tofu avocado, and delicious crispy wonton, garnished ever so elegantly with gold flakes. The lobster was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth, and the yuzu tofu avocado had a smooth and creamy texture that was flawlessly paired with the crispiness of the wonton. For our main course, we ordered the highly recommended French Orange Duck. After dinner was served, we were in awe at the meticulously plated French Orange Duck, which had been slow roasted with mandarin-orange sauce and accompanied by seasoned carrots, potatoes, and zucchini, then garnished with colorful edible flowers. The French Orange Duck was tender and moist, while the vegetables brought out more of the meaty flavor. These two dishes are a must-try!

Now it was time to fulfill our sweet cravings with Myn-Tu’s Lava Cake, a warm and gooey chocolate lava cake that comes with a side of creamy vanilla ice cream. The chocolate cake was sweet, but not overly sweet and the vanilla ice cream just complemented the chocolate. You can’t go wrong with this dessert. I also learned that on Tantric Mondays, they offer a sultry dinner party that invokes the romance of a French cabaret while also including some Miami influence. Between 10-11pm the DJ turns up the volume and the place turns into a fun dinner with entertainment—Miami style!
