Offered with Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics makes the distance go by virtually unnoticed. The system monitors vehicle movements up to 500 times a second, reacting to driver or road inputs almost instantaneously to give greater control and minimize body movement, ensuring a composed, flat ride. It even senses off-road conditions, and optimizes damping accordingly so you arrive refreshed and relaxed.

Commanding. Off and on-road. The system intelligently controls torque distribution between the front and rear axle. On challenging surfaces torque can be balanced between the front and rear wheels to maximize traction. In extreme conditions, where the wheels lose traction, up to 100 percent of engine torque can be distributed to the opposite axle for optimum grip. The AWD system combines with Electronic Traction Control to deliver a driving experience in even the most challenging situations.
There are a range of engines available for Defender: Two gas, 4-cylinder P300 or 6-cylinder P400. Each has been optimized for specific attributes to cater for all needs. The Defender’s gas engines are powerful, which can provide an engaging and direct driving experience. They are refined and are suited to shorter, stop-start journeys. All engines are equipped with intelligent stop/ start technology which is designed to reduce emissions. Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology will be fitted to the P400 engine.
