Christian McCaffrey

Christian McCaffrey was born on June 7th, 1996 in Castle Rock, Colorado. He was born to be an athlete as his father was a wide receiver in the NFL and his mother was a soccer star at Stanford. At Valor Christian High School, McCaffrey was a sprinter for the track & field team and crushed records as a versatile football player. He played multiple positions on his way to breaking records for touchdowns (141), career touchdown receptions (47), and several more along the way.

McCaffrey played college football at Stanford where he was named to the 2016 All-Pac-12 first team. It was after the 2016 season that he decided to enter the NFL draft. He was one of the top running back prospects and was projected to be drafted in the top 10 of the draft. On draft day 2017, McCaffrey was drafted 8th overall by the Carolina Panthers and later signed a 4-year $17.2 million contract to go along with a signing bonus of $10.7 million.

During his rookie season, McCaffrey hit milestone after milestone including scoring 7 touchdowns in a 3-week period. He also became the first Panther ever to have 100+ yards rushing and receiving in the same game. It was more of the same in 2018 as he broke the NFL record for most catches by a running back in a single season. Entering his 3rd season in the NFL in 2019, McCaffrey will look to continue to dominate at his position. He will once again be the Panthers’ most used weapon on offense and will be on the catalyst for many fantasy football champions.
