Tourists and Miami locals alike constantly walk past the former Versace Mansion on Ocean Drive, and many wonder just how insane it must look inside. If you haven’t gotten the chance to set foot inside the iconic Villa Casa Casuarina, the Onyx Bar, once Gianni Versace’s own private kitchen area, may be your ticket in. The venue remains full of the designer’s old furnishings and décor and is romantic and glamorous in style; remaining dim-lit with a plush couch against the wall, and a few seats at the bar. Drinks include a vast selection of bourbon, wine, and scotch, as well as some specialty cocktails that truly capture the luxury of the estate. A must-have is the 24 Karat Golden Margarita, which is, you guessed it, embellished with real gold flakes. Stop in for an extravagant nightcap that you’re sure to remember.
