Gather your family and friends of all ages to participate virtually in the Rotary Club of Weston’s 23rd Annual Rotary Run for Tomorrow, Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge, and Health & Fitness Festival. All runners and walkers can participate at a location of their choice and complete their run/walk any time between Dec. 5–13. The Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge will take place on Dec. 6 as well as the virtual run events. The City of Weston and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital— the event’s sponsor— are presenting the event. Over the past 20 years, the Rotary Run for Tomorrow has raised well over $1 million in proceeds for charities serving local needs, which include Harvest Drive, LifeNet4Families, Jubilee Center, Honor Flight South Florida, and HANDY, as well as humanitarian projects in other countries and worldwide polio eradication programs through the Rotary Foundation. All participants of the Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge will receive a free festival T-shirt and giveaways, and can take part in multiple raffles and competitions. All elementary schools in Weston have been invited to participate in the Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge. Elementary schools can win cash prizes and the school with most participants percentage wise will be recognized with the Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge Award. The raffle prizes and Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge Award will be presented at 3:30 p.m. at Cypress Bay High School and will be live streamed via Facebook and Zoom. Participation in the Health & Fitness Festival is free of charge. There is no cost to register for the Mayor’s Get Fit Challenge but registration is necessary. For the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Half Marathon Relay online runner registration forms and information are located at tinyurl.com/y53zqmrb. The cost to participate in the Half Marathon is $65 per person plus a $5.90 signup fee, the Half Marathon Relay is $145 per team plus a $10.70 signup fee, the 5K is $35 per person plus a $5 signup fee, and the 10K is $35 per person plus a $5 signup fee. Discounts are available for Runner Teams and Clubs.

The ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Beta Tau Zeta Chapter in partnership with Zeta Blue Network, Inc., cordially invite you to attend A Christmas Bell Affair for an exclusive virtual concert and scholarship fundraising event from 6:30–8:00 p.m. This year, they will be celebrating their 75th year of scholarship-giving by hosting their first virtual Christmas concert and live cooking demonstration featuring singer Rochelle Lightfoot, Nicole Gates, and Chef Karim Bryant from Lil Greenhouse Grill, who will host a live cooking demonstration.
