There’s always a ton of events to flock to in November due to the holiday season and the cooler weather, so fill up your calendar with all of these happenings! Check out a NASCAR race, walk through a jungle full of Chinese lanterns, and try out some plant-based chow at a vegan festival.

Get ready to see Miami in a light you’ve never seen it before. Jungle Island is hosting the first-ever “Luminosa! Festival of Lights,” a Chinese lantern festival with a Miami twist. Over 1 million LED lights will illuminate 13 acres of trails, featuring massive glowing handcrafted lanterns by Chinese artisans. Expect oversized orchids, a sea of radiant jellyfish, sharks, and even a 100-foot wide by 20-foot tall exhibit that will display Chinese graffiti art of Miami’s most iconic destinations! Also be prepared to eat and sip here, as the festival will include yummy food and delicious craft cocktails.

Vegans, listen up! The 6th Annual SEED Food and Wine Week is making its return to Miami, and you can bet that tons of plant-based goodies will be available for you to devour. They claim that they’re not just a festival, but instead a “movement” as they encourage guests to “Eat. Drink. Grow.” Come out to this highly anticipated vegan event for a long list of activities that include cooking demos, wine tastings, celebrity chef dinners, craft beer and spirits tastings, a veggie burger battle, yoga, urban gardening, and plenty more! It’s going to be a vegtastic time!

The Walgreens Gridiron Grill-Off Food, Wine & Music Festival is the best-valued food and wine festival in SoFlo, and it’s all for a good cause! Restaurateur and former Miami Dolphins’ player John Offerdahl is very involved in the Gridiron Grill-Off, with a portion of the funds going toward his Offerdahl’s Hand-off Foundation. The proceeds will then be put toward scholarships at Broward College and toward the Taste of the NFL Kick Hunger Challenge. The festival provides fun for the whole family with live entertainment, a cornhole tournament, a tailgating zone, and a true Grill-Off, with 22 high-end restaurants and 22 Miami Dolphin legends teaming up to have a barbecue showdown.

The NASCAR Ford Championship Weekend is almost here, and it will be at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. People from over 200 countries will which watch the event live from their TVs, but you can actually be sitting in the stands! Riptide Music Festival Powered by Ford, Broward County’s signature event, will crash onto Fort Lauderdale Beach once more for a rockin’ time! This year, the lineup includes The Killers, The 1975, Jimmy Eat World, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Reel Big Fish, Shaed, and a ton of other popular acts! In addition to the music, the fest will also incorporate brews, food, and art. You can head into their “Underground Village” for art installations, fashion showcases, Publix culinary demos and workshops, and the all-new ENO Lotus Lounge, where you can take a break in their hammock hangs. This is truly a festival like no other!

Winterfest’s Family Fun Day is just one of the many events that lead up to the big Winterfest Parade next month, and it’s definitely one to mark on your calendars! This event that’s free for the whole family will feature a ton of activities like face painting, exploring the Florida Renaissance Pirate Ship, petting puppies at Danielle Pet Rescue Row, and more. Since the Family Fun Day is also close to the holidays, you’ll be able to enjoy the Toboggan Tunnel, Polar Express, Catabella Express, and Sun Sentinel Kids’ Town as well! Photo ops with Santa and live music by Shane Duncan Band will close out a great evening. Make sure to come out!
