‘Tis the season! Miracle, an annual holiday-themed pop up bar, is coming to Miami! The MIA location, dubbed Miracle on Flagler Street, will serve whimsically named drinks in Cocktail Kingdom’s special Miracle glassware. Some of the cocktails you can expect are Bad Santa (Apple cider, Applejack, Manzanilla sherry, lemon, cinnamon syrup, popcorn and bacon butter, and baked-apple bitters), and the Snowball Old-Fashioned (Gingerbread bourbon, wormwood bitters, and lemon zest). Even the Grinchiest Grinch can’t have a bad time at this bar!

RIDE THE TIDE

Who doesn’t want to attend a music festival that’s right on the beach? We’re lucky to live in SoFlo because we can do just that at Riptide Music Festival, right on Fort Lauderdale Beach! Blankets, beach towels, and beach chairs are encouraged at this festival where you can relax in the sun while listening to a killer lineup. Some of the remarkable performers that will take to the stage are The Jacksons, The Sugarhill Gang, Panic! At the Disco, Dirty Heads, Matt and Kim, Sublime with Rome, and more! Get ready to rock out!

ART OF THE HEART
Dec. 6-9

Art Week is one of the most anticipated events of the year, and a definite highlight during #festivalseason. Art lovers in Miami come out for a full weekend of partying, interactive exhibits, and satellite art fairs. The main attraction is without a doubt Art Basel itself, held at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Galleries from all over the world show their best pieces here, from paintings to sculptures and even film! Purchase a glass of champagne at one of the cafes and have a look around!

OH, DEER!
Dec. 14

The Deering Estate, former home to Charles Deering, is now one of the most well-known, beautiful landmarks in all of SoFlo. His brother, James Deering, once lived in the extravagant home that we now know as Vizcaya on Biscayne Bay. It’s safe to say that these brothers knew how to live large. The best time to visit The Deering Estate is now, in December, as it becomes a holiday wonderland full of colorful Christmas lights and other festive decorations. On the 14th, enjoy Mistletoe & Martinis, an event that will feature holiday music, hors d’oeuvres, desserts from the finest local caterers, and a variety of flavorful martini samples!

HAVE A (MATZO)BALL
Dec. 24
matzoball.org

The 32nd Annual Matzoball, the nation’s leading Jewish singles event, will be held at Blue Martini in Fort Lauderdale, and will be a fun-packed time! Dubbed as the “#1 holiday party of the year,” Matzoball will feature cocktails, music blasting all night, lots of dancing, and plenty of socialization opportunities! On Christmas Eve, most businesses are closed in observance of Christmas, so this event brings Jewish people together to party on a day that they would otherwise probably be staying home. Whether you’re in search of friends, an s/o, or just networking opportunities, you’ll find it at Matzoball!

MANGO MANIA
Dec. 30
kingmangostrut.org

Every year in Coconut Grove, a strange festival takes place, home to “the weirdest people in the universe.” The King Mango Strut Parade is back for its 37th edition, and you can prepare to find it just as wacky as ever! It started as a rejected group from the King Orange Bowl Parade, but now you can expect to find just as big as a crowd watching these outrageous, creative floats parading around. Satirical floats and freaky floats will strut down the streets, and after, the King Mango Music Massacre will begin with live entertainment and bands to celebrate the new year!
