Come with an appetite and bring out the forks for the 11th Annual Iron Fork tasting event presented by Miami New Times. This chef competition has drawn thousands of people to Downtown Miami to sample exotic cuisines. Food lovers from across Greater Miami will gather at this event to watch the cities’ most celebrated chefs go head-to-head for a blazing showdown for supremacy! Food will be set aside and donated to the Miami Rescue Mission!

Oct. 13

Get ready to wear your fancy attire and join the United Way of Broward County Mayors’ Gala for some entertainment, open-bar, and hor d’oeuvres, followed by dinner, a live auction, and dancing! This year’s gala will focus on youth literacy in Broward County. All of the proceeds will benefit the United Way of Broward County to help support its mission to fight for education, health, and financial stability for every person in our community.

Oct. 18

Come out for a night of laughter with the nationally known comedian Tom Papa. According to the Mayo Clinic, we all need to laugh more; it’s medicine. Literally! Laughter offers pain relief and a stronger immune system, which is a great reason to give back and buy a ticket to the 9th Annual Comedy Night. Proceeds will benefit the South Florida Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.

Oct. 27

Time to get those dancing shoes on! Family Central is being honored by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and the Broward County Board of County Commissioners at the Let’s Make Magic for Kids gala fundraising event held at The Grand Ballroom at the Sunrise Civic Center. Guests will enjoy the evening with a gourmet cuisine provided by Arc Culinary, live entertainment by the world-famous Motown Magic tribute band, dancing, and a silent auction with luxury prizes. The event will help provide essential funding to strengthen families throughout SoFlo.

Oct. 29

Trick or Treat! Dress up in your best costume at this Halloween haunted mansion, and party the night way with emcees O.J. McDuffie and Seth Levit at the 17th Annual Signature Grand Ghoul Event benefitting Broward 2-1-1. Guests will be provided with decadent food, an open bar, specialty drinks, dancing, ability to mingle with former athletes and local celebrities, and a people’s choice costume contest!
