Make Some May Memories

Music and drinks seem to be the common theme for the SoFlo events this May. Enjoy craft beer at Zoo Miami, sample food and wine at Coconut Grove’s annual festival, and celebrate Cinco De Mayo with a bar crawl!

May 2-5

SunFest is one of the biggest music festivals in SoFlo, and it’s back with a star-studded lineup! Over three days, watch the captivating performances of Keith Urban, One Republic, G-Eazy, Bebe Rexha, Tears for Fears, Papa Roach, Diplo, and a load of others. In between sets, wander throughout the festival’s Arts District where you can shop and appreciate art from over 80 artists and vendors. There will also be a Chill Zone so you can catch a breather with hammocks, games, food and spirit samplings, and food trucks! Make sure to stay on Sunday for the fireworks show!

So far, some bars that are participating are Booze Garden, Capone’s, Hideaway, and America’s Backyard, but more will soon be announced. The Color Run in Fort Lauderdale is back for another vibrant time and a good cause. In this five-kilometer untimed run, each runner begins wearing all white, and at each kilometer mark, they are sprayed with a different color. By the end of the race, they’re wearing the rainbow! After all runners reach the finish line, they can party at the Finish Festival, where “music, dancing, photo ops, activity booths, vendors, and more massive color throws” make for quite the celebration! Each year, The Color Run partners with a different local charity; to date, they have raised $5 Million!

For the drinkers, a tented wine garden will welcome you to sip and savor, and you can also enjoy the rum bars, craft beer, and mojitos. Live music, culinary demos, and a Kids’ Zone will also add to the fantastic fun!
