Remember September

As we welcome Fall this month, we can hope for fresher temperatures, and lots of more events to flock to! Drink up delicious seasonal beer at Wynwood’s Octoberfest, celebrate the change of the season at a special fest, and watch bikes fly through the air at a BMX show! This month you’ll want to be out and about with so much to do!

Sept. 8

Art, music, vintage, and culture will be showcased at Dania After Dark, a new monthly street festival in Broward’s 1st city! The first event was held on June 9th, and the series continues with another occurring this month on the 8th. Live performances, art stands, food trucks, drinks, and more will be available for people of all ages to enjoy; even pets are welcome!

Sept. 8

As we near the cooler months and the holiday season, we also come closer to another time period that’s equally as exciting: Arts Season! ArtsLaunch 2018 will be held at the Adrienne Arsht Center to help welcome the creative time with a series of performances and events. Family activities, mini performances, more than 100 arts and cultural organizations, chef demonstrations, bands, DJs, and of course, food, will all be a part of the arts and culture at this fun-packed happening. An added bonus is the opportunity to purchase tickets for Arsht Center shows ahead of time; when you purchase at the box office in-person, they waive ticket handling fees!

Sept. 16

BMX Trickstars will certainly “stop, drop,” and “shut ‘em down” as they flip and catapult into the air! They are an all inclusive travelling BMX stunt show that aims to round up the best riders in the sport to perform mind-bending feats. At this particular event, expect three shows from Florida’s most innovative and professional bike riders, as they perform both flatland freestyle and high flying ramp action. Vendors will be on-site selling goodies in between shows! Be wowed, amazed, and immersed in this adrenaline-rushing display of tricks and stunts!

Sept. 22

At the 4th Annual Riverwalk Fall Festival, say goodbye to the hot summer days and embrace all of the windy, leaf-changing excitement! Carnival-themed games, competitions, face painting, train rides, and live music will all be a part of the Autumn action. Food trucks and vendors will line the streets to provide plenty of munching options, fall refreshments, and shopping opportunities! Get ready to fall for this annual event!

Sept. 28-30

Save the trip to Germany, and instead fill up that tank to drive to Wynwood! The 9th Annual Wynwood’s Octoberfest, presented by Samuel Adams, will light up the city once more with their take on a traditional Bavarian Bierhouse. Authentic German fare and snacks like bratwurst will be available to pair with an array of seasonal beers, boot optional! Live music, drinking games, an artisan market, a grand beer hall, and a chance to participate in the Brewlympics will have you entertained for the whole three-day duration of this festival. Miss Octoberfest, Giant Beer Dunk Tank, Giant Jenga, Giant Beer Pong, and Corn Hole will be some of the contests and challenges included in the Brewlympics, so begin to get in touch with your competitive side!

Sept. 30

Over 50 dessert vendors will battle it out bakery style at the Dessert Wars Miami, Season 6 event. Cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, doughnuts, brownies, and more will be enjoyed at this celebration of the “foodie” lifestyle as different bakers and bakeries from across Miami fight for the title of Dessert Champion. A general admission ticket will include the chance to sample 30 dessert vendors, and have free milk and coffee. VIP tickets take it a step further with access to all vendors, making the sugary combinations endless.
